Welcome to  SterlingandPearls.com where a Mother makes sure that all of our  infant, baby, kids, and children's jewelry is lead free.   There are thousands of pieces of little girl, kids, and teen jewelry that contain lead.  I started this business to try and make a difference, and to help people just like you become aware of how dangerous and toxic with lead, much of children's jewelry is.

I'm Julie and I am a wife and proud Mom!  I have a husband, 3 children, dogs, and I work ALOT.  Our shipping office is located in Asheville, NC  28803.  Read what some of our customers think about us, and our products here. My oldest daughter has an amazing talent for jewelry making and fashion. She is one cool teen! Her advice and assistance is crucial to the success of this business.  My husband is the kind of guy that any woman would wish for. He does it all, whatever needs to happen, he is there making it happen. I am so fortunate to have such support.

I started this business out of necessity. I was tired of the junk jewelry at stores like Claires, Target, etc. What really bugged me the most was that it was all made overseas, and the quality was very poor.  I was also getting very worried about LEAD! The other problem was that every time I needed a unique, really special baby gift, I couldn't find one! This is where Baby Jingle Ankle Bracelets with precious little bells began! I learned of a centuries old tradition of Asian and Cambodian Moms and Grandmothers where a new baby was gifted with a pair of Sterling Silver Bell Anklets. The purpose was twofold, and it is a truly wonderful idea! First, the whimsical gentle jingling bells would let the Mother know where the baby or toddler was wandering off to! Second, the sterling silver represented strength and the softly jingling bells would ward off evil spirits and bad influences from coming near the child.

We want to alert you to the fact that the ever popular Swarovski Crystals, while beautiful, they contain lead at 30%.  There are thousands of people  out there selling Children's jewelry with the Swarovski, and they either are not aware, or they don't care. We do care, we are aware, and we use another crystal type in our Name Bracelets that is not lead containing, and is just as pretty and glamorous as the Swarovski. People cannot tell the difference, but Moms will be happy to get this valuable information.
